Summer Day Tours of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks
Goosewing Ranch invites you to explore Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks during the summer season with our own professional guide who will take you to sites and hikes off the beaten path of the "typical" tour. Whether you want to see the Tetons at sunset, the famous geysers and waterfalls of Yellowstone, or some of North America's most spectacular wild game including elk, antelope, moose, coyote, bison, and eagles, we offer small groups and customized trips.
Learn of the Yellowstone's history while making several stops to view thermal features and wildlife. Choose from two very different tours: hiking around Old Faithful's upper geyser basin, Lone Star geyser basin, and Sentinel Meadows or following the course of the Yellowstone River as it creates the spectacular Yellowstone Falls, stopping to see the Upper Falls, Lower Falls, geyser basin at Canyon trail, and Hayden Valley, and also do some hiking. You'll have the opportunity for numerous excellent photo opportunities on both trips.
We offer three different trips exploring Grand Teton National Park. If you're looking for a shorter trip, join us on a morning half day trip exploring the Antelope Flats area with a stop at Mormon Row and a short hike. Or join us in the late afternoon for a tour followed by dinner overlooking the Snake River while the sun sets over the Tetons. Both trips provide opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.
For the full day tour, we start by heading North into Grand Teton Park along the National Elk Refuge and traveling along the Gros Ventre Road to the Warm Springs. Guests will learn about the area, exploring Antelope Flats with a stop at Mormon Row and hiking around the Shane cabins. Then, on the way to Jackson Lake, stops include Glacier View/Schwabacher Landing Overlook, the Cunningham Cabin historical site, and Oxbow Bend. Heading back to Jackson, a hike to Hidden Falls by Jenny Lake and traveling the Moose-Wilson road will allow for wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities.

A winter tour of Yellowstone National Park is quite different from any other season's tour. Much of the wildlife gather around the steaming hot pools and geysers which generate warmth and clear ground. Bison become frosted, shaggy beasts, easily spotted as they take advantage of the more accessible vegetation on the thawed ground.
